Acetaminophen dose is calculated by weight: 10 to 15 mg per kilogram of body weight per dose, up to every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours or the maximum daily dose for the child's weight.
Do not give more than the recommended dose. Overdose of acetaminophen can cause serious liver damage. If you suspect an overdose, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 immediately.
